One person lost their life in a motorcycle accident on Clemson Road.

According to South Carolina Highway Patrol Corporal Sonny Collins, the accident occurred around 1:26 p.m.

A 2017 Kawasaki motorcycle was going westbound on Clemson Road when a 2008 Toyota driving eastbound attempted to make a left hand turn onto Salisbury Lane and hit the motorcycle.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.

Motorcycle-vehicle accidents are quite common on South Carolina roads. The reasons for such collisions can vary from speeding, negligent driving, drunk driving, distractions, or not following the traffic signs and lights.

If you were involved in an auto accident in South Carolina, first you must seek medical help. Once the police arrive, make sure you collaborate, but don’t try to explain or make things clear by stating that it was your fault.

It is not yours to determine the liability, even if you know you caused the accident.

If you can, call your auto accident attorney who will take over your case and will guide you through the process.

Seeking justice might be challenging, especially if you have to recover from your injuries.

Allow a skilled wrongful death attorney to be by your side. No matter how injured you are, insurance companies are not going to feel sympathetic and would do their best to offer you a smaller claim or even deny it.

If you face something like that, you should not give up. You and your lawyer will continue the negotiating process.

Be mindful of the statute of limitations, and don’t let time pass by.

All of this might seem complicated and challenging, but with the right attorney by your side, you would make it.
